Salesforce Inc. can’t be sued for providing software services that enabled Backpage to advertise victims for sex, unless survivors can show the technology company knew they were being trafficked, a Texas federal judge said.

The victims have 21 days to produce that evidence through an amended petition or else Salesforce will prevail, Judge Jane J. Boyle of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas said in a May 2 order dismissing their claims without prejudice.
