Watch AWS re:Invent in Fortnite—Yes, Really

AWS is taking an unexpected turn at re:Invent this year by streaming all five of its keynotes inside Fortnite. Viewers can watch from a virtual lounge—or while driving through a Las Vegas–themed racetrack where keynote videos appear on in-game billboards. The move may look like a “How do you do, fellow kids?” moment, but AWS is aiming to capture developer attention on new platforms while showcasing its own cloud infrastructure powering the Fortnite stream. In addition to Fortnite, the keynotes will stream on Twitch, YouTube, and AWS’s website, appealing to both gamers and traditional viewers alike.
