Warner Bros. Discovery partnered with AWS to reinvent free-to-air (FTA) linear TV advertising using HbbTV and AWS Media Services. By integrating AWS Elemental MediaTailor, MediaLive, MediaConnect, MediaPackage, and CloudFront, WBD now delivers personalized, server-side ad insertion and restart functionality that boosts viewer engagement and increases targeted ad inventory value by up to eight times. After launching in Italy, WBD is preparing to scale the solution across Europe.
