Salesforce CEO Dismisses AI Layoff Fears, Calls It ‘Radical Workforce Augmentation’

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff struck a confident tone about artificial intelligence’s role in the workplace, describing AI not as a threat to employment, but as a transformative force that will empower workers rather than replace them.

Speaking at the 2025 AI for Good Global Summit, addressed the growing concerns about AI-induced job losses, noting that “It is a radical augmentation of the workforce.”  His comments come at a time when many in the tech industry, including notable voices like Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, have predicted significant cuts in white-collar jobs over the next five years due to generative AI.
