Bahrain Expands Public-Sector GenAI with AWS and Amazon Bedrock

AWS has launched Amazon Bedrock in Bahrain in partnership with the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA), making generative AI models accessible within Bahrain’s government AWS cloud. The initiative supports Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and National AI Policy, with an emphasis on data protection, privacy, and responsible AI. iGA expects Bedrock to accelerate experimentation through its Innovation Lab, improve service quality and efficiency—especially for Arabic use cases—and expand AI-driven capabilities across national digital initiatives.
