AWS has expanded its Well-Architected Framework with the Data Residency with Hybrid Cloud Services (DRHC) Lens, providing prescriptive guidance for designing compliant hybrid cloud architectures. The new lens helps organizations address data sovereignty, governance, and regulatory requirements while operating across on-premises and AWS environments. Mapped across all six Well-Architected pillars, the guidance supports workload classification, regional service usage, automation, and operational best practices for regulated and hybrid environments.
