At its annual AWS conference in Las Vegas, Amazon unveiled plans to integrate Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion technology into its next-gen AI chips, Trainium4, boosting speed and communication across large-scale AI systems. The company also introduced new Trainium3-based servers with 144 chips each, delivering four times the previous generation’s computing power while using 40% less energy. Alongside hardware updates, Amazon launched enhanced AI models, Nova 2 and Sonic, and the Nova Forge service, enabling companies to build AI models tailored to their own data. These moves underscore AWS’s push to compete aggressively in AI infrastructure and attract enterprise customers worldwide.
