Amazon CEO Andy Jassy speaking at a technology conference, representing his bold new $600 billion revenue projection for Amazon Web Services (AWS).

During a recent internal all-hands meeting, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy told employees that the surging demand for artificial intelligence could push Amazon Web Services (AWS) to $600 billion in annual revenue over the next decade. This new projection doubles his previous long-term estimate of $300 billion. To hit this ambitious target, AWS—which recorded $128.7 billion in sales in 2025—would need to maintain an average annual growth rate of roughly 17%. Addressing Wall Street's concerns over the company's massive $200 billion capital expenditure plan for this year, Jassy defended the heavy upfront investments in data centers, chips, and power infrastructure as necessary to capture the "very unusual opportunity" presented by the AI boom.
