ACCELERATING PROJECT ONBOARDING IN AUTODESK CONSTRUCTION CLOUD
OVERVIEW
A multinational enterprise managing a large portfolio of physical building facilities across North America and Europe is continuously running construction, renovation, expansion, and retrofit projects. With this level of operational activity, teams are constantly creating and accessing projects within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), making efficient project setup critical.
To address the growing administrative burden, Fiduciary Tech designed and built two purpose-built features, Bulk Project Creation and Bulk Add Users, that allow teams to set up multiple projects and onboard multiple users simultaneously, drastically reducing the time and effort involved.
THE CHALLENGE
The existing portal only supported creating one project at a time, and adding users was equally limited to a single user per project. For a company operating at this scale, with dozens of active projects running concurrently across two continents, administrators were spending significant time on repetitive manual work just to keep teams connected to the right projects.
The team needed a faster, more scalable approach that could handle bulk operations without bypassing existing governance and workflows.
OUR SOLUTION
Fiduciary Tech engaged closely with the client team to understand how bulk project creation and user additions were being handled manually before designing a solution. This discovery phase ensured the new features modeled real workflows rather than introducing unfamiliar processes.
The team enhanced the existing portal with two new capabilities. The Bulk Project Creation feature allows users to input project names, business units, and preferred templates in a single submission, after which multiple projects are automatically created within ACC. The Bulk Add Users feature enables administrators to add many users across projects at once, replicating and accelerating what had previously been a tedious, one-by-one process.
Both features were built as natural extensions of the existing portal experience, keeping the interface familiar while delivering a significant improvement in speed and efficiency.
