AUTOMATED ZIP‑CODE TERRITORY MANAGEMENT
THE CHALLENGE
Our client needed a simple interface to search and edit Accounts by Territory, Territory Manager, or Regional Manager. They also wanted to assign these roles to Accounts based on zip codes, but their requirements exceeded Salesforce Standard Territory Management limits, which cap at 1,000 territories.

OUR SOLUTION
We created a custom object to store Territories, Territory Managers, and Regional Managers assignments, enabling territory creation at the zip code level and surpassing Salesforce’s 1,000-territory limit. To streamline the process, we developed a custom page allowing users to search by Territory, Territory Manager, or Regional Manager and edit records easily. Custom code then updated related Accounts with these changes, saving the client hundreds of hours of manual updates.
