Slack might make a dent in email

Over the years there have been a number of attempts at killing email. The argument goes that since email has been around for so long and is basically the same as it was several decades ago, there should be a better way. Even Google has tried and failed (anyone remember Google Wave?). However, a fast-growing company called Slack might make a dent.
