Salesforce Reorganizes Leadership While Cutting Around 1,000 Jobs

Nearly 1,000 roles were cut at cloud software provider Salesforce at the start of this month, according to a source who spoke to Business Insider. While the company did not disclose the reason for the layoffs, they come on the heels of an executive shake up.
Companies across the U.S. have significantly shrunk their staff as artificial intelligence takes over tasks previously handled by employees. In 2025, AI was cited as a reason for over 54,000 job cuts, according to a report by consulting firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.
