Salesforce refuses to pay ransom to hacker threatening data leak - Bloomberg

Salesforce Inc. informed customers on Tuesday that it will not pay a ransom to a hacker group that claimed to have stolen substantial client data and threatened to publish it, according to Bloomberg News.

In a security notification email, the company disclosed it had received "credible threat intelligence" that a hacking group known as ShinyHunters planned to release information stolen during a security incident earlier this year affecting multiple customers.
