CRM solutions provider Salesforce announced a series of new water-focused initiatives, including a new program targeting sustainable water usage in its data centers and energy use, as well as investments supporting local watershed resilience in Brazil and Mexico.
The new commitments form part of a renewed focus by Salesforce on water, under the company’s Nature Positive Strategy. Launched in 2023, the strategy includes goals to measure, manage and develop a plan to reduce nature impacts and dependencies by this year, help support and mobilize the conservation, restoration, and growth of 100 million trees by 2030, contract for 1 million tons of high-quality “blue carbon credits” by 2030, and distribute $100 million through Nature and Sustainability Philanthropy by 2031.
