Salesforce Closes $27.7B Slack Purchase; Marc Benioff Quoted

Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) has wrapped up its acquisition of Slack Technologies for approximately $27.7 billion in a transaction that will create a single digital platform for enterprise communications and collaboration.

“Together we’ll define the future of enterprise software, creating the digital HQ that enables every organization to deliver customer and employee success from anywhere,” Marc Benioff, chair and CEO of Salesforce, said in a statement published Wednesday.
