Salesforce buys SteelBrick right before Christmas

Salesforce has acquired SteelBrick, a company with software that helps sales reps figure out the right price quotes to give to customers. The acquisition was said to cost Salesforce $360 million. SteelBrick CEO Godard Abel wrote in a blog post that "Being a part of Salesforce will give us an amazing opportunity to accelerate our delivery of fully integrated Quote-to-Cash applications right within Salesforce, helping thousands more customers grow revenue faster than ever before." SteelBrick started in 2010 and is based in San Mateo, California. The acquisition date is December 23, 2015. Check out the news!
