Salesforce acquires Demandware for $2.8 billion

Salesforce has now acquired Demandware on May 31, 2016 for $2.8 billion. This deal helps Salesforce by acquiring the cloud based provider of e-commerce services to businesses big and small. The deal will also create a new business division called the Salesforce Commerce Cloud. The transaction is expected to finalize by July 31, 2016. Salesforce CEO, Marc Benioff, has said that "Demandware is an amazing company- the global cloud leader in the multi-billion dollar digital commerce market - and with Demandware, Salesforce will be wall positioned to deliver the future of commerce as part of our Customer Success Platform.: Check out the news!
