New Salesforce climate goals quietly lower bar

Salesforce is retreating from two of its key climate promises and changing the way it calculates some of its emissions at the core of those pledges.

The San Francisco company is no longer promising to reduce all of its direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions by 50% from its 2018 levels by 2030 and by 90% from those levels by 2040.
