A cybercriminal group has launched a data leak site to extort 39 companies impacted by widespread Salesforce breaches, threatening to release what they claim is one billion customer records by 10th October unless ransoms are paid.
The threat actors, operating under the moniker "Scattered Lapsus$ Hunters", published samples of stolen data from major brands including Google, Cisco, Disney, FedEx, Marriott and Adidas. The attackers are demanding Salesforce negotiate a blanket payment covering all affected customers.
