Amazon Web Services has extended its AWS Security Hub coverage natively to Microsoft Azure, allowing users to monitor Azure resources such as virtual machines, containers, and user identities from a single control plane. Alongside this major multicloud expansion, AWS launched new Amazon GuardDuty AI Protection tools specifically designed to defend against "cost harvesting"—a cyberattack where bad actors steal credentials to run expensive AI models at the victim's expense. The security updates also introduce an AI Inventory system to auto-discover and track AI assets across Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker, alongside an expanded Security Hub Extended ecosystem integration supporting 21 major third-party partners via the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF).
