Amazon Web Services and NVIDIA are taking their long-running partnership to a massive new scale, announcing plans to deploy an additional 2 million GPUs across AWS global data centers between 2027 and 2028. This monumental expansion builds on a previous commitment of over a million chips and is designed to support increasingly demanding artificial intelligence workloads. The upgraded infrastructure will also integrate new Vera-based CPUs, extended NVLink Fusion networking, and custom high-bandwidth memory to boost performance and efficiency for customers racing to build advanced AI applications.
