Amazon Faces Months of Costly Repairs After Drone Strikes Devastate Middle East Data Centers

Amazon Web Services has suspended billing for customers in the Middle East as it faces a massive, months-long repair effort following devastating Iranian drone strikes on three of its data centers in the UAE and Bahrain. With a full recovery expected to take nearly half a year, AWS has already absorbed an estimated $150 million in waived charges and is urgently advising affected clients to migrate their cloud workloads to alternate regions.
