ELIMINATING MANUAL RESALE CERTIFICATE TRACKING

THE CHALLENGE

Our client needed to collect and track resale certificates for different states and expiration dates. Their internal process also required employees to manually track every customer communication related to new resale certificates. This manual tracking, emailing, and follow-up consumed approximately 125 hours per month and required five staff members—an unsustainable workload in the long term.

We automated the email process using custom code and Salesforce email templates that included state-specific resale certificate forms. To minimize developer involvement for future changes, we built a configurable solution enabling Salesforce admins to update templates and forms as needed.
