RAPID COVID RESPONSE WITH SALESFORCE & AWS

OVERVIEW
When COVID-19 emerged, a multinational enterprise needed a way to quickly manage employees who tested positive, validate health documentation for leave of absence (LOA) approvals, and coordinate building safety responses. Fiduciary Tech delivered a global solution in just three months, automating case intake, documentation review, and facility notifications. The system reduced manual work, improved workplace safety, and scaled to support over a million employees worldwide.
THE CHALLENGE
As the pandemic rapidly spread, the client faced urgent needs: employees required an easy way to report cases, HR teams needed fast and reliable documentation validation, and facilities teams had to be alerted immediately to manage potential exposure. There was no existing platform capable of managing such a global crisis, and manual processes were too slow and error-prone to handle the scale and urgency. The client needed a solution that could scale to support a worldwide employee base and deliver results in under three months.
Salesforce Authentication Failure Fix
OUR SOLUTION

Fiduciary Tech developed a Salesforce-based platform integrated with the client’s employee data, facility and badging systems, and AWS. Employees reported cases via Salesforce, triggering automatic leave requests and documentation uploads. Doctor's notes—often uploaded as images or PDFs—were processed using AWS Textract to extract text and validate key medical terms for accuracy.

The platform also tracked building access history and sent exposure alerts to facility managers, dispatching cleaning crews when necessary. This multi-integrated system provided comprehensive visibility and rapid response capabilities:

- Employee Data Integration: The platform integrated with employee data to track which buildings each employee visited, as well as their manager, employee ID, and contact information. This provided comprehensive visibility into potential exposure risks across locations.

- Badging System Integration: By syncing with the client’s badging system, the platform could identify the specific locations employees visited in the days leading up to their diagnosis, facilitating rapid contact tracing and targeted action.

- Facility Manager Alerts: The platform was also integrated with the facility management system, ensuring that facility managers were automatically notified of exposure risks in real time. This feature helped ensure prompt and coordinated responses to minimize the spread of illness.

- AWS Textract Integration: To streamline document processing, the platform used AWS Textract to extract text from images of doctor’s notes and other uploaded documents. This advanced OCR technology enabled quick and accurate processing of medical documentation to support case management.

For leadership teams, the platform seamlessly integrated with global compliance systems, offering real-time case and exposure data across regions, supporting swift decision-making and workplace safety measures.
