OVERVIEW
A large enterprise client needed a streamlined way to manage volunteers, mentors, and event participation. Previously, scheduling and coordination relied on Outlook for mass email blasts and Excel spreadsheets for tracking, creating inefficiencies and missed opportunities for engagement. By leveraging Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and Volunteers for Salesforce (V4S), Fiduciary Tech implemented a simple yet powerful solution that improved scheduling, tracking, and overall program impact.
THE CHALLENGE
Coordinating volunteers across mentoring programs and events was a time-consuming process. Program managers relied on Outlook to send mass emails and on Excel to manually log responses and availability. This approach made it difficult to match mentors with mentees, fill event roles, or track hours. The client needed a low-cost, easy-to-adopt system that could bring structure to volunteer management without requiring custom development.

OUR SOLUTION

Fiduciary Tech deployed Salesforce.org’s NPSP and V4S applications, tailoring them to support both mentoring and event-based volunteer opportunities. With V4S, participants could view available shifts, select mentoring or event slots, and track their hours. The system also supported large-scale events such as career fairs, where dozens of volunteers were needed across multiple roles and time slots. By digitizing the process, we eliminated the manual coordination burden and provided a self-service platform that empowered participants and organizers alike.
