Salesforce to acquire natural language-to-SQL platform Waii

Salesforce Inc. (NYSE: CRM) announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Waii, a natural language-to-SQL platform that converts plain-language questions into database queries.

Waii's technology creates what the company describes as a dynamic metadata knowledge graph that maps enterprise data landscapes, including database schemas, table relationships, business metrics, and governance rules. The platform translates natural language questions into SQL queries and includes a dialect-aware SQL compiler and query optimization features.
